WINTER EDUCATION WEEKEND


Join fellow MRPs for the 2025 Winter Education Weekend to be held in Bendigo, Victoria's rich heartland, a gold rush boom town, full of ornate architecture and diverse cultural heritage. Start your weekend discovering the hidden underground tunnels of a real gold mine that operated during the gold rush boom of the 1900s, followed by a combined MI/RT program over the two days with stellar guest speakers.

Social Activities include:

  • Friday Night Welcome Event - all welcome to attend. Drinks and food at own expense. Join us at the local pub, a family friendly bar with a cozy atmosphere, perfect for a winter weekend.
  • Saturday Morning Activity - Central Deborah Gold Mine Tour - Don a hard hat, descend 61 metres beneath the surface in one of the mines on the famous Bendigo Goldfields. Enjoy breakfast before or after your turn to walk in the footsteps of past miners.
  • Saturday Dinner - enjoy a fabulous three-course dinner, included in Full Registration but you will need to advise if you wish to attend. Tickets are available to purchase for Day Delegates and guests

Saturday Morning Networking Activity

Don a hard hat, descend 61 metres beneath the surface of Bendigo and walk in the footsteps of past miners before the MRS program begins.  Groups of 20 will descend in an industrial lift for an informative and guided tour around the mine.  A light hot breakfast will be available before or after your tour.  This opportunity is included in your registration, however, you will need to indicate below if you will be joining the tour, for catering purposes.
